It’s a truly pleasant experience to stroll through the seven small hamlets that make up the village of Blevio, with houses perched between the lake and the mountains. Enjoy the fresh water from the charming fountains, admire the old washhouses, and follow the scenic route that leads to the lake through underpasses and cobbled paths.
For hikers, just 100 steps to the right as you exit Cielo, you can climb the typical stone staircase that leads to the Blevio mountains, the Nairola rock, Barc, the famous village of Brunate, or, heading north, to the hamlet of Monte Piatto in Torno, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the Crotto.
A quieter path awaits you if you turn left outside the house and follow the Via Regia, which leads to the delightful village of Torno (and continues further beyond).
For music lovers, the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta rests in the Blevio cemetery. Since 1829, she lived in Blevio in her magnificent Villa Roda. In the lakeside church, you’ll also find a fine Prestinari organ and, if you’re lucky, you may attend one of the seasonal concerts.
